ENERGY SAVING FEATURE

• While the cottage is unoccupied the heat may be lowered to the maximum energy saving level.

PATENTED METHOD AND SYSTEM

• The ET-2 hears all the audible sounds where it is installed in the cottage.
• The unit must hear 2 sets of 4 to 6 telephone rings, produced by 2 phone calls within a period of 60 seconds for the unit to be activated. We recommand that each telephone call consists of 6 telephone rings.
• The period of silence between the last ring of the the first call and first ring of the second call must not exceed 60 seconds.

TELEPHONE ACCESS

• The ET-2 in installed in the cottage to listen for the rings of the telephone and to give power to the heating elements when activated.
• The single rings of any standard private line telephone or the double rings of any party line telephone can activate the ET-2.
• Each double ring of a party line telephone is considered as one ring when the ET-2 hears the rings.
• The ET-2 has a patented method and system of activation to prevent false activation.

NO LONG DISTANCE CHARGES

• The ET-2 does not answer the telephone and it is not connected to the telephone line, so there will never be any long distance charges incurred by activating the unit.

SIMPLE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Dial the telephone number at the cottage where the unit is installed.
2. First call - let the telephone ring 6 times and hang-up.
3. Wait 5 seconds.
4. Second call - Redial, and let the telephone ring 6 times and hang-up.
5. The ET-2 will be activated for 4 or 8 hours.

NOTE:

The ET-2 is recommanded for cottage and coutry homes only.

Only one ET-2 unit needed per cottage.

The ET-2 and ET-4 may be installed as a low voltage control with up to six power relays (PR-25 available from Res Automatica Ltd.)

By installing the power relays near the electrical distribution panel, it is possible to control a number of circuit breakers eg. more baseboard heaters, hot water tank element, light, or air conditioning.
